Ono's famous work from the 1960s, titled "ADD COLOR PAINTING" is an interactive piece. Using the canvases, objects, felt-tip pens and other materials provided for by the exhibition space, the visitors contribute color to the piece and in so doing, the artwork becomes an amalgamation of each individual. It can be considered as the predecessor of the instructive art series.

The multi-edition "Colours of the Globe" piece is based on a plain white globe selected by Ono herself. Standing atop a simple metal base engraved, "ADD COLOR THE GLOBE," a transparent pencil case carries six colored pencils. Each pencil is inscribed, "IMAGINE PEACE."

The earth embraces the damages of air pollution, water, and global warming; this piece by Ono hopes to engage everyone's efforts to make the earth into a colorful, heavenly body once more.
