AZITO is pleased to offer you help with finding Japanese artworks. Anything you like - from old masters to emerging artists, we will search for art in any style, date or medium on your behalf...for FREE. After we offer more information on the artwork, you can decide whether you would like to purchase it or not.
For example....
Gutai art Association artists such as Jiro Yoshihara, Atsuko Tanaka, Kazuo Shiraga and Saburo Murakami...
Gutai is the Japanese avant-garde group. The Gutai Bijutsu Kyokai (Gutai Art Association) was formed in 1954 in Osaka. The word has been translated into English as 'embodiment' or 'concrete'.
To learn more go to "Gutai" (Tate glossary) and "Gutai Group" (Wikipedia)
Mono-ha artists such as Nobuo Sekine, Lee Ufan, Koji Enokura and Kishio Suga...
Mono-ha refers to a group of artists who were active from the late sixties to early seventies. Using both natural and man-made materials in their work, their aim was simply to bring 'things' together, as far as possible in an unaltered state, allowing the juxtaposed materials to speak for themselves.
To learn more go to "An Introduction to 'Mono-ha'"(tokyo art beat)
