Voices

Here are the voices we got from Azito fans. We really appreciate it!

The perspective offered by Azito on contemporary Japanese artists is unparalleled, harmoniously embodying elements of the Avant-garde with an unassuming essence of refinement. There is a sustained intellectual clarity in the way artists work is addressed, as well as a subtle curation that allows for the presentation and integration of a multiplicity of ideas and practices into one clear vision.

I'm deeply interested in Japanese art and think the online gallery Azito is one of the best sources of informations about it, with plenty of details about the artists' careers and works.

I've always enjoyed contemporary Japanese art - not just visual arts, but also theatre, dance and music. As such, I am very fond of Azito because you platform not just established contemporary Japanese artists but also emerging ones. I like your commentaries as well about the works of these artists, and have learnt a lot from them!
I'm particularly fond of Matsui Fuyuko's works. I work for the Singapore Fringe Festival, and I hope to be able to feature her works at our festival someday, as well as that of other Japanese artists.

I enjoied this report to know about the artist, her works and the atmosphere of the exhibition of the museum. It helpes me to go there. I like the pure motivation of Azito, to support and encourage the japaneses artists. There is no business advertisement on the web site for exemple. We can be more close to the modern arts and enjoy itself in our daily life. Agito gives us also the opportunities to support the artists in simple and easy ways.

I love the fact that you display a wide number of images of the artists' works. Not every art website does it in this way. It is user friendly and easy to look at. You make art much more enjoyable to people who are not exactly experts and that is very important. Thank you!

Azito exposes me to new Japanese artists that I would not otherwise see in the United States.

I like the sheer variety of artworks, from traditional to futuristic. The quality and mastership and the creative spark makes the artworks enjoyable to look at. This website is well-curated and well-put together.

The work presented has a quiet but quite spiritual quality. I feel as they I am transported into another "world" of color and breathtaking earth senses that truly make me feel personally engaged and connected. Your website offers a view of works that present the influences of a culture far from me but one in which I definitely feel connected.

I like that Azito brings me art from everywhere around the world, and not just any art. It showcases art that has been carefully and tastefully selected. I went to Fuyuko Matsui's exhibition in Yokohama, and I was really delighted to see an article on that. Not many sites display her work, and this shows yet again how Azito has managed to capture the beauty of an artist's work despite the artist being relatively obscure.

What I like about Tamanoi's work, put simply, is it's different. It's bold, yet captures aspects of experience common to us all - i.e., how childhood is both cute and frightening. Indeed, his work invites us to think about the usual in an unusual way.
I appreciate that Azito showcases contemporary Japanese art on a single site. I was hoping to begin a collection, so was very pleased when I came across your site. Finding a trustworthy dealer in art from a distance can be a challenge. Rest assured, that Rasa is not only trustworthy, but also knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Of course, the icing on the cake is being able to do everything in English. Following Rasa's blog is also a great way to keep up on what's going on with art around town.
