Katsuhiro Saiki's work continues the dialogue of portraying landscape conceptually, as begun by the contemporary American photographer Lewis Baltz, who was at the fore of the New Topographics Movement in the 1970's. Since vieweing a Baltz exhibition in Tokyo, Saiki's mode of expression progressed from the paintbrush to the camera. AZITO presents one of Saiki's most iconic series, titled "Place", spanning the years 2002-2004. In the expansive sky, even an airplane can look like a bird. AZITO presents a special edition that captures the peace and tranquility of the heavens.
