Yuko Oda - artist - Online Gallery of Japanese Contemporary Art Azito

	Yuko Oda Yuko Oda was born in Tokyo, and lives in New York City. Her work was a finalist for the animation competition "Artport: The World Affected By Global Warming ", and her animation has been in numerous international art fairs including Art Supermarket (Stockholm), Art Miami Basel (FL), Bridge Art Fair (NY), Diva Art Fair (Paris), among others. Her recent exhibitions include E-forms in Beijing Today Art Museum, Shift: Remix at Gallery Aferro, NJ, Volume at 3RD WARD, NY, and Stranger than Fiction at Artist Network Gallery, NY. Oda obtained her MFA from Rhode Island School of Design and BA from Duke University. She was a resident at the School of Visual Arts in 1999, and a resident at the Vermont Studio Center in 2008. Oda received an Artist Grant from the Vermont Studio Center, ISRC grant from NYIT, the Professional Council Grant and ACRE grant for interactive arts from Albright College, PA. She teaches art at the New York Institute of Technology, and currently is the Art Gallery Chair of SIGGRAPH Asia 2009, Yokohama, Japan. www.yukooda.com (artist's website)
