Solo exhibition "Umep" by Kayo Ume was held in the middle of August. Kayo Ume is a photographer born in 1981, who captures the funny sceneries we, especially Japanese must have seen in our everyday life. Her first photo book "Ume-me" was sold over 110,000 copies and loved widely in Japan.

As you can see in these images, she captures young boys, elderly or dogs in a somewhat funny situation. It is not staged at all. When she pointed a camera to boys, boys naturally made a funny face or show something cool for themself but just funny to others.

The exhibition space was filled with her tons of lovely photographs. What is interesting about her works is that they are not just making us laugh but make us feel happy and her love toward people. Peaceful lives are in truly existing there.
